Juan Manuel Santos, president of the Republic of Colombia and 1973 University of Kansas graduate, returned to campus on September 24. During his visit, he met with students and took part in this conversation at the Dole Institute of Politics, led by Bill Lacy, the institute's director.

During the event, he was also presented with the Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award, the highest honor bestowed by the KU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
