Disappointed that Congress refused their demand for early payment of a bonus promised them for service in World War I, the "Bonus Army" soon faced a fateful battle. Despite their non-violent behavior, President Hoover decided the situation was dangerous and ordered General Douglas MacArthur, with his aides Majors Dwight Eisenhower and George Patton, to remove the peaceful protesters. Ordered by Hoover to limit his offensive, not for the last time MacArthur ignored orders and led his troops to the marchers' main encampment. This mashup combines newsreel, documentary, and dramatized footage, the last from the 1995 film "In Pursuit of Honor".
