Hazrat Sachal Sarmast Daraza Sharif :
Sachal Sarmast (Sindhi: سچل سرمست, c. 1739 – 1827), also known as Sacho Sarmast, was an 18th and 19th century Sindhi Sufi poet, mystic and philosopher from Daraza (present-day Sindh, Pakistan), regarded as an important figure in the Sindhi-language literature. He is revered throughout Pakistan.
Early life and education:
Sachal Sarmast was born in 1152 AH (1739 CE) in Daraza, near Ranipur, Sindh, to a Sunni Muslim family. His father, Abdul Wahab Farooqi, was a scholar and a Sufi saint. Sachal received his early education from his father and other local scholars. He was a gifted student and quickly mastered the Arabic, Persian, and Sindhi languages.
