Zebra stripes are a feature of newer mirrorless cameras. A common practice to check exposure is to take a photo and then review the “blinkies” for any clipped highlights or shadows. Another approach is to turn on the zebra stripes feature and see potentially clipped areas in real time, before you capture the frame.
