1982 Den Haag, Netherlands.
Having filmed the last day of normal traffic at Woodhead (UK) in 1981 with freight hauling 1500v dc EM1 ( BR) Class 76 Bo-Bo locomotives, it was a "must" to film the more powerful British built EM2 Class 77 Co-Co locomotives in the Netherlands. They had been sold to NS Railways in 1969, when passenger traffic ceased between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield Victoria. Passenger traffic was then focused on the Hope Valley route, which had more stations, and so more potential income.
