WHAT IS CHARGA?
Chargha is soft succulent fried chicken marinated overnight in the spicy and tangy rub and steamed. Steaming is followed by deep-frying which the authentic way. In another healthier version marinated and steamed chicken is baked in a tandoor or oven.
OR YOU CAN SAY ITS A ROTISSERIE CHICKEN because Chicken Chargha is Baked in the oven.
WHAT IS ROTISSERIE CHICKEN:
Rotisserie chicken is a chicken dish that is cooked on a rotisserie by using direct heat in which the chicken is placed next to the heat source. Electric- or gas-powered heating elements.
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken ( put deep cuts)
Ginger Garlic paste ( 4-5 tablespoons)
1 tablespoon Cumis seeds ( roasted & ground)
1 tablespoon Coriander ( roasted & ground)
1 1/2 teaspoon crushed black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon red chilly powder( to taste)
1 teaspoon salt or ( to taste)
1 1/2 teaspoon Chaat Masala
3 tablespoon oil
Method:
Take the chicken put deep cuts and put all the masala and rub nicely put for marination over night or atleast 3-4 hours.
Preheat the oven at 180* for 20-25 minutes.
Bake the chicken ( see the process of tying the chicken legs and putting a rack on the baking tray and then putting the chicken for baking)
Place the chicken in the oven at 180* for 40-50 minutes.
If you think its necessary to flips sides do that after 20 minutes.
Serve it with delicious Matar pulao or Roti and fries.
