I started this project a long time ago, but I had to temporarily interrupt it to devote myself to the recreation of the fantastic "Crockett's Theme".
Jan Hammer - Crockett's Theme (Miami Vice) Cover: [ Ссылка ]
In these days I was finally able to finish the work on these three never released Jan Hammer tracks from the first seasons of "Miami Vice".
0:00 Crockett in Jail
0:49 Last Meeting of Mark and Mary
3:15 Mark's Father Arrested
The first track can be heard twice in the episode "Give a Little, Take a Little" (S1-E10), where Bob Rickert confides in his wife and when he discovers that Crockett did not want to reveal his name in court. This wonderful piece is based on the melody of "Crockett's Theme" in a more maliconic and emotional version. Also, this track was also used in the episode "Smuggler's Blues" (S1-E15) in the scene of the exchange between Tubbs and Grocero at the cemetery.
The second track is based on Jan Hammer's great classic "Payback" and you can hear it in the episode "Little Prince" (S1-E11), when Mark and Mary talk to each other in the limo.
The third track can be heard in various scenes of the episode "Little Prince" (S1-E11) and in particular when Mark's father is arrested.
I have always loved the choice of music of other artists in "Miami Vice", but also the wonderful work that Jan Hammer has done within every single episode of this unforgettable TV series and I have tried to recreate something similar from his unreleased masterpieces. Obviously they are not identical to the originals, but I hope you like my work on these pieces.
I created the cover art from scratch, inspired by a very popular building material in the 80s and very present in the TV series... that is the glass block.
Good listening :)
** To better appreciate my tributes, I recommend you watch them on a screen with a resolution of at least 1920×1080 and with a good sound system (or good quality headphones) **
