Microphone comparison with male bass/baritone trailer voiceover artists using the Neumann U87, Neumann TLM103, Rode NT1, Rode NT1a, Rode NT2, AKG 414 Gold, Lewitt LCT640 and EV RE20

These recordings were done in a non-treated, very live living room in front of a green screen. We added the "recording studio" image just for visual aesthetics (not meant to infer that this recording was done in a treated studio room). The only treatment in the room is the mic shield that you see in front of each voice over artist

AUDIO PROCESSING NOTES
In a real-world situation, the preamp would be set individually for each microphone and individual gain-staging used for the final mix. For this comparison, we did use the same preamp settings for each voiceover artist on all microphones and we did normalize individual tracks before final mix
