Attaching too many keys to your car key could be slowly damaging your ignition system❗️
It’s perfectly okay to own many keys and keep them all in one key ring holder. What’s not okay is attaching your car key to that same heavy bunch of keys and then putting it into your car’s ignition everyday.
The weight of the key ring holder, coupled with gravity, will exert pressure on the barrels of the ignition, and this will eventually cause the ignition lock to wear out and fail. When that happens, you may experience issues with turning the ignition lock and starting the car.
To prolong the life of your ignition system and avoid unplanned disappointment, it is best to separate your car key from the other bunch of keys.
