LMMS Tutorial in Hindi | Music Production | Basic Lesson-2 | Piano Roll
About this video:
Every music listener has an ability to become a musician. Only burning desire makes a dream come true.
This video is a basic tutorial of LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio) for the purpose of music prodction as professional musicians.
In music and music theory, the beat is the basic unit of time, the pulse (regularly repeating event), of the mensural level (or beat level). The beat is often defined as the rhythm listeners would tap their toes to when listening to a piece of music, or the numbers a musician counts while performing, though in practice this may be technically incorrect (often the first multiple level). In popular use, beat can refer to a variety of related concepts, including pulse, tempo, meter, specific rhythms, and groove.
Rhythm in music is characterized by a repeating sequence of stressed and unstressed beats (often called "strong" and "weak") and divided into bars organized by time signature and tempo indications.
A melody is a collection of musical tones that are grouped together as a single entity. Most compositions consist of multiple melodies working in conjunction with one another. In a rock band, the vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist, and bassist are all playing melodies on their respective instruments. Even the drummer is sometimes playing one.
A melody is a linear succession of musical tones that the listener perceives as a single entity. In its most literal sense, a melody is a combination of pitch and rhythm, while more figuratively, the term can include other musical elements such as tonal color. It is the foreground to the background accompaniment. A line or part need not be a foreground melody.
Melodies often consist of one or more musical phrases or motifs, and are usually repeated throughout a composition in various forms. Melodies may also be described by their melodic motion or the pitches or the intervals between pitches (predominantly conjunct or disjunct or with further restrictions), pitch range, tension and release, continuity and coherence, cadence, and shape.
Piano Roll depicts both elements in a melody. It uses musical notation to indicate pitch and duration by showing the shape of the note.
Music production:
Music production is the process by which music is created, captured, manipulated, and preserved so that it can be distributed and enjoyed. All of the recorded music that you know and love exists because it went through the production process, no matter how well-known or underground a recording may be, and no matter how minimalist or maximalist it sounds.
Professional music production is creative and technical. It requires well-developed listening skills, a good handle on recording technology, a deep musical knowledge, and effective project management and leadership skills by a music producer, also known as a record producer.
Digital Audio Workstation:
A DAW (digital audio workstation) is software you can use to record, edit, and produce your beats. There are many DAWs on the market, so you’ll need to do a bit of research to find which is the best for you. But, this software is what will allow you to stack multiple instrument tracks on top of each other to craft your unique beat.
LMMS:
LMMS is a simple yet powerful digital audio workstation (DAW). If you are looking for a basic foundation in music composition and sound production, LMMS is a great (and free) way to dip your toe in the water. Ready to see if it's worth taking the plunge? Read on and find out!
LMMS (formerly Linux MultiMedia Studio) is a digital audio workstation application program. It allows music to be produced by arranging samples, synthesizing sounds, playing on a MIDI keyboard, and combining the features of trackers and sequencers. It supports the Linux Audio Developer's Simple Plugin API (LADSPA), LV2 (only master branch, since 24.05.2020) and Virtual Studio Technology (VST) plug-ins (on Win32, Win64, or Wine32).[6] It is free and open source software, written in Qt and released under GPL-2.0-or-later.
LMMS is available for multiple operating systems, including Linux, OpenBSD, macOS and Windows. It requires a 1 GHz CPU, 512 MB of RAM and a two-channel sound card.
