Part 1 of the Language Access Plan Training Series covers the basics of language access for victims who are Limited English Proficient (LEP) or Deaf and Hard of Hearing and how language access is part of providing trauma-informed services to victims of crime. An overview of the ethical and legal obligations to provide language access is provided, as well as an overview of the consequences of the lack of language access.
