This talk will discuss the approach the Youth Policy Lab takes to developing lasting research partnerships with state and local entities, and will discuss two specific projects. The first, a partnership with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, is exploring ways to improve maternal and infant health in the state. The second, a project with the Detroit Regional Chamber, is focused on understanding and improving college access and degree attainment in Detroit. The talk will highlight findings, and lessons learned from both projects, as well as areas for future research.
