In his first one-on-one interview with local Israeli media since October 7, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the “intense phase” of the war with Hamas in Gaza is about to end. He said the military's focus could then move to Israel’s northern border with Lebanon, where fighting with Hezbollah has intensified. Netanyahu also said that Israel will keep fighting in Gaza until Hamas is eliminated. Around 800,000 people have been displaced from Rafah since Israel started its ground offensive there.
