I've done a few shootouts with this Boss SD-1 recently with some more expensive and popular overdrives, and I have to say the Boss SD-1 continues to impress. For the money, the Boss SD-1 is one of the best overdrive and boost pedal for metal considering the price.
Keep in mind the Boss SD-1 is $50 USD brand new and the Precision Drive is $220 USD. Now, I'm not saying don't buy a Precision Drive and get a Boss SD-1, since the Precision Drive is a fantastic pedal and can do things the SD-1 can't, but if you are only using a Precision Drive for the factory settings, but you find the Boss SD-1 is a much cheaper alternative.
So, what did you think about the Boss SD-1 vs the Precision Drive? Did you like one more than the other or could you not tell the difference between the two? Let me know in the comments below.
Thanks for watching! Cheers!
