Day 6 of the Christmas Market tour and Gabriel Grassmayr takes us to the Marktplatz - the traditional place for all sorts of markets throughout the year - just to the side of Innsbruck’s city centre. In addition to the spectacular Swarovski Christmas Tree and views of the famous ’colourful houses’ across the river, the Marktplatz markets are a great place to try all sorts of traditional Tirolean sweet treats like Kaiserschmarrn, Kiachl and Lebkuchen - or to take a ride on Europe’s oldest traveling Carousel!
