This video is a how to for brush lettering including my favorite resources and how to transition from faux calligraphy into lettering with a brush pen. This is only part 1 because I want to keep each video short so let me know below what you want to see to learn hand lettering! Blending? Flourishing? How to hold the pen? Let me know!
My suggestion is to start with a hard tip/bullet tip nib with faux calligraphy and then move on to the Crayloa nib since it is hard and can take abuse while you are learning and gaining hand muscles.
Once your muscles have developed, starting with a small nib brush pen (like Pentel Sign Pen and Tombow Fudenosuke) will help you learn to control a flexible nib. Then after that, try out some large flexible tip nibs like Tombow dual brush pens!
