When Italians hear you asking for an American Coffee at the bar, they scream and stare at you with astonished faces. I experience this every day!

Italy and Italians have a certain connection with their Italian coffee culture, they have this belief that coffee must be concentrated into a small but powerful amount (Ristretto or caffe corto).
Diluting it with extra water is considered a profanity and may lead to a good amount of mockery. Always do this at home or away from Italians.
On a regular basis, when I have my American coffee I always look around to ensure the area is safe.
The coffee brewer I'm using on this video is the Bialetti moka, a famous Italian moka espresso pot used to make italian ristretto coffee, the real coffee.
