A case packer at work! This video shows 7 case packing systems we designed for the automated crate loading at Hoogvliet Slagerij in The Netherlands. The pick & place case packing system helps them save on labor and labor costs. Through the automation of the packing process, Hoogvliet Slagerij can work more efficiently.
Case packing system options
Slagerij Hoogvliet uses different MAP trays to pack their food. To pack them in the most efficient way, they all require their own pattern. We fine-tune the robot arm at the center of our case packer for each pack format, to optimize speed and careful positioning within crates, boxes or other secondary packaging. Depending on your type of product, we design a case packing
system best suited for your products. Our case packers use vacuum or mechanical grippers in the robot tool. In the video, you can see examples of the different MAP trays being packed with a vacuum gripper.
The vacuum solution is used for typical retail packaging, such as skin packaging, top sealed trays, flow-wrapped and stretch-wrapped packaging. Our mechanical grippers are used in case packing systems which handle vertical plastic fill and seal bags (VFFS), nets and bags for fresh food. Product changeover? The simple program selection from the user-friendly operator HMI helps you quickly switch between programs.
