Compared to The Redmi AirDots S its predecessor, Xiaomi made only 2 main differences. The connection type for pairing and the addition of a game mode. Other than that.. everything is pretty much the same, including the price: [ Ссылка ]

Even the good points and points to improve on, are the same, which I mentioned here in my RedMi AirDots review: [ Ссылка ]

And that also counts for dimensions, the box, the included small, medium, and large earplugs, battery life, built, audio and microphone quality. The Redmi AirDots also keep the same 99 RMB price tag of its predecessor, which translated to roughly 14 dollars.

I believe that the new connection type is a nice addition, but I don’t find the new game mode that big of a game changer, because through a firmware update, I think it might be possible to add it the older RedMi AirDot model as well.

And therefore, I think its not worth to upgrade if you have the AirDots from RedMi. As it’s a rather a really small hardware iteration than a big upgrade over its predecessor. But, nevertheless, its nice that Xiaomi didn’t increase the price and therefore its still a steal if you’re looking for some good and cheap wireless earbuds.
