Chishuru in Brixton is officially one of my favourite restaurants in London!

Chef Adejoké ‘Joké’ Bakare started off as a home cook before going on to host supper clubs and eventually winning a competition to open her own restaurant in Brixton Village. Her aim is to popularize the West African & Nigerian dishes that she grew up eating.

Chishuru serves contemporary West African cuisine, using traditional recipes as a base, with unique seasoning and spices.
