A review of how LSD influenced artists, specifically in San Francisco in the ate 1960s
Biography:
A Fine Art graduate from the late 1960s Kevin Barron’s personal journey took him first into the blossoming British music business. Following working for such luminaries as Cat Stevens, the Rolling Stones and a stint at Island Records, Kevin relocated to San Francisco in 1976. A continual interest in psychedelics since 1964 he was fascinated by the developing art form, centred specifically in the Bay Area, of LSD blotter art and was soon producing his own designs. His work in this format and medium has been recognised as some of the most influential. He is not the only artist to turn his skill to this unusual art form. Several leading American and European artists have at one time contributed their work to this highly unusual but fascinating art form. Now back in the United Kingdom and a resident of London, Kevin continues to produce vanity blotter art and is a renowned artist in the field: whose collectability has exploded worldwide in the last decade.
