(19 Jun 2016) Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said on Saturday that last weekend's Orlando nightclub shooting would have had a "very different result" had people been armed with guns.
Trump made the remarks at a late afternoon rally in Phoenix.
Outside the venue a group of protesters held up signs reading "Trump is hate" and "I support love, not hate".
The media-minded real estate developer also railed against indications that he had less support among female voters, saying he was "doing very well with women".
A number of heated exchanges between protesters and Trump supporters took place outside the venue where the rally was held.
