Jake Ehlinger, known as "Fearless #48" and UT linebacker, died in May 2021 from fentanyl poisoning after mistakenly taking a pill he believed was Xanax. His mother, Jena Ehlinger, is now sharing his story on Fentanyl.tv to raise awareness and prevent other young individuals from accidental overdoses. Stefanie Turner, another mother who lost her son to a similar incident, started Texas Against Fentanyl to heighten awareness about the dangers of fentanyl.
