Talonavicular joint arthritis is a condition in which the joint surfaces of the talonavicular joint, located in the middle of the foot, become damaged and inflamed. This can lead to pain, stiffness, and decreased mobility in the foot. If the condition progresses and conservative treatments fail, surgery may be necessary to address the underlying cause of the arthritis.
In some cases, if the talonavicular joint surgery fails or does not provide adequate relief, it may need to be revised to a triple arthrodesis. Triple arthrodesis is a surgical procedure that involves fusing the talonavicular joint, as well as the subtalar and calcaneocuboid joints, to provide stability and pain relief in the hindfoot.
At our center, we specialize in complex foot and ankle conditions, including hindfoot arthritis and revision surgeries. Our experienced foot and ankle orthopedic surgeons understand the complexities of these conditions and the importance of providing appropriate and timely treatment.
We use the latest techniques and technologies to perform revision surgeries, with a focus on achieving the best possible outcome for each patient. Our team works closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans based on their unique needs and goals.
Our goal is to help patients regain mobility, alleviate pain, and improve their overall quality of life. If you are experiencing hindfoot arthritis or have had a failed talonavicular joint surgery, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our experienced team is here to provide the care and support you need to get back on your feet.
