Under lockdown level two from midnight, Restaurants, bars and taverns can sell alcohol until 10 o'clock at night. Liquor outlets can sell alcohol for off-site consumption from Money to Thursday from 9am to 5pm. The South African alcohol industry has welcomed government's decision to lift the ban on alcohol sales. The SA Liquor Brand-owners Association, the National Liquor Traders Council, the Beer Association of South Africa and other alcohol industry players have welcomed the news.
