Fractals are self-similar shapes and, because they are created algorithmically, have infinite resolution. We’ll see in a later lecture that something called L-systems can be used to generate fractals, however we’ll just briefly look at the general idea here.
In this lecture, we use the Koch Snowflake as an example as we discuss how fractals are generated. This technique can be applied to 3D models to procedurally generate intricate details.
