Panic Ensues as Attempt to Catch Huntsman Spider Fails
The hilarious results of a Sydney duo’s chaotic experience trying to capture a huntsman spider went viral after being posted to TikTok.
Lexie Kent captured footage of her friend Jazz Jordan capturing the spider in a container along a wall.
However, the spider wriggled its way out of the situation, with the pair’s frightened reaction resulting in some hilarious shaky camera footage.
Follow-up footage posted to TikTok, shows Jordan recapturing the spider, and Kent told Storyful that the pair ensured the spider was safely removed from their home.
“We didn’t want to have to kill him because he seemed like [a] good bloke,” she said. “Jazz was the only one with enough Steve Irwin spirit in her to get that close. After he fell she got paper under the container and carried him out to live a long life out in the wild.”
