handloaded some 154grain (was supposed to be 158, but 154 is what they weighed out to be) cast lead bullets into 357 using reddot powder. I was going for 5.5grains of reddot, but there were variences from 5.0 to 5.5 with the average being about 5.25
also there was an issue with the crimp, several were crimped too deep and I wasn't sure if that would be an issue, hence the video.
guns used, Taurus M-605 357 snub nosed, S+W model 65 4inch, and Rossi Model 92 levergun in 357mag
chronograph is Pro-Chrono
camera is CANNON powershot ELPH 180 (because it was donated and works WAY better than the cheap chinese p.o.s I was using)
No Squibs, had one that I had to hit twice to get it to fire, another that the bullet fell out of the case (while in the snubby) and another bullet that pushed too far into the case and jammed the Rossi levergun.
all bullets eventually fired, but I was already getting rained on when we stopped the video
don't use this recipe! only use valid in the manual load data! I'm a hobbyist and do this sort of thing on a somewhat regular basis! test handloaded ammo at your own risk!
by the SAAMI specs 357 is limited to 45,000PSI and these are WELL above 35,000 so Cavet Emptor! danger danger will robinson! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME
