In this video I start building the 1st floor of my tiny house cabin in the woods. I show the way in which I layout the 16" center boards and align the joists or studs in the case of a wall so that the sheeting seams line up on the center of the joists. I show how to crown lumber and some examples of flaws in todays supposed prime lumber and some uses cracked or damaged lumber can be used in your build. This video turned out to be almost 1 hour so I split it into two parts. I hope you enjoy it and learn something. If I am explaining things too much please let me know in the comments and I'll just get right to building. I made some big mistakes in recording my audio and apologize in advance I tried to edit as much out as I could. In the future I will try better to use quality mics so there isn't so much background noise.
