Besan chilla/ Besan Cheela / Gram flour savoury pancakes
Quick and easy breakfast/ dinner recipe
Ingredients:
Besan/ gram flour-2 cups
Hing -1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Chilli powder-1 tsp ( can be substituted with green chillies)
Water
Ajwain-2 tsp (this is important as it aids in digestion of the gram flour )
Onion-1
Tomato-1
Coriander- 1 tbsp
Salt- to taste
Steps:
1. To a bowl add Besan, chilli powder, turmeric powder, hing, salt, water and mix well.
2. To the batter add onions, tomatoes, coriander and ajwain seeds. Mix well.
3.Spread the batter on a tawa evenly and add oil and cook on both sides.
4. Serve hot!!
