In Canada, there are no formal supports or resources to help wrongfully convicted individuals reintegrate back into society. Imagine having to start your life from scratch, find a job, somewhere to live, while coping with the enduring traumas and stigma of a wrongful conviction. Exonerees face countless barriers to rebuilding their lives, challenges that most of us have the luxury of knowing nothing about. Pam Glatt is on a mission to change that. In this talk, Pam explores an often overlooked part of wrongful convictions – reintegration, and she inspires us to take a more holistic and compassionate approach to wrongful convictions. Pam is passionate about educating everyone on wrongful convictions and has over a decade of experience in criminal justice education and advocacy work. She has taught at leading universities across the country, and champions a number of educational initiatives on wrongful convictions across the country. Pam obtained her JD from Western University, as well as her MA and BA (both in Criminology and Sociology).
