This talk walks us through the proposition of how we can advance the circular economy in the world with a specific interest in developing countries by holistically integrating the informal sectors of the economy. While addressing several prevalent factors in waste management particularly in developing countries, the speaker shines a spotlight on the effectiveness of addressing as well as leveraging the advantages of integrating sectors of the economy which eventually will result in strengthening the country-wide economy. Mr. Ganesh Kumar Subramanian is the Co-founder and Operation Lead of Kabadiwalla Connect, a startup redefining waste management by leveraging data and technology to help segregate and recycle non-biodegradable waste. He is also a Mechatronics Engineer who enjoys coding. A self-taught programmer, he primarily focuses on Front End Development. His research interests vary from UI/UX design to Virtual Reality, and strongly believes that gestural/natural user interfaces are the future of Human-Computer Interaction.
