On April 22, 2015 at 21:03 UTC, an eruption took place from the Calbuco Volcano located in southern Chile. By 22:08 UTC, the ash plume rose up to 40,000 ft (12.1 km), Buenos Aires VAAC reported. On April 23, 2015 at 04:00 UTC, a second eruption had taken place. The last eruption of this volcano occurred in 1972.
