At a rehearsal with the Erisioni State Dance Ensemble in Tbilisi, Georgia (October, 2017), we witnessed this incredible choreography of the classic "Khorumi" warrior scouting dance. This dance is from the Adjara region of Georgia, on the Black Sea coast, where thousands of years of cultural influence between Greeks, Laz, Georgians, Armenians, and Turks created a culture of bagpipe playing and 'choros' round dances. I'm no linguist, but Khorum and Choros (Gk. χορός "dance") sound pretty similar. Anyway, awesome dance, enjoy!
