Animal sacrifice rituals are among Ancient Egypt’s last unsolved mysteries. This film follows archeologist Mélanie Flossmann-Schütze into the labyrinth of Tuna el-Gebel where embalmed animals are buried. The archaeologist is following the long-held suspicion that the ancient priests had committed a gigantic fraud on the faithful. In fact, many false mummies have been detected by x-ray imaging.
