A Healthy Lifestyle – what does it mean, in the short and long-term?
This webinar with Dr Sawyer aims to create a greater awareness of the far reaching consequences of lifestyle choices on health, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK.
The session discusses:
- How and why our lifestyle impacts the major causes of death in the UK
- How lifestyle can contribute to obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and cancers influencing our quality of life
- How what we eat and drink, and exercise can lead to a healthy or unhealthy lifestyle with more or less disease burden
- Stress, legal and illegal drugs and risk taking behaviours and their effects on our health
Dr Nick Sawyer, who leads this session, has worked in the Harley Street medical area of London as a Private GP and Occupational Health Physician for over 30 years. He holds the Diploma of The Faculty of Occupational Medicine and is a Member of The Royal College of Physicians. Dr Sawyer has worked with many corporates in the London area, and will be joining Cleveland Clinic London as Deputy Chair of the General Practice Institute.
Cleveland Clinic London will be opening its first Outpatient Centre at 24 Portland Place in September 2021. The state-of-the-art outpatient facility will see patients for outpatient appointments, diagnostics, and general practice appointments. Cleveland Clinic London hospital will be located at 33 Grosvenor Place in central London. The hospital will be an eight-storey, 325,000-square-foot-building. They will begin treating patients here in January 2022.
