Dr. Padegimas specializes in sports and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and elbow. His specific focus is shoulder and elbow replacement, rotator cuff repair, management of shoulder instability, and arthroscopy of the shoulder and elbow. Dr. Padegimas grew up in Manchester, Connecticut and completed his undergraduate education at Dartmouth College where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He then completed medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society.
Dr. Padegimas completed his residency training at The Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, a top five nationally ranked orthopaedic department that provides care for the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and 76ers. Additionally, he held a number of leadership positions including serving as the editor in chief of the Jefferson Orthopaedic Journal, the coordinator of the Jefferson Orthopaedic Research Day, the resident representative for the Alpha Omega Alpha C. McCollister Evarts Resident Leadership Forum, and the chief resident of the department.
