Welcome back to Episode 28 of the Fireside 40K podcast hosted by Vik Vijay & David Gaylard of Team Ignite.

10th Edition has landed with indexes for the factions, points cost and the core rules all out.

Change and particularly development is vital for the game, something we can see with the beautifully designed mission format (both primary and secondary) that we praised at length in the previous episode. However, with such a wide scale change to the core rules and army rules, there was bound to be some balancing issues.

We’ve both gotten in a bunch of practice games, had discussions with a wide range of players and Dave’s taken the effort of listing the potential issues that have been raised as well as explaining the reasoning behind each one in detail. We then work out some potential solutions and options that GW might consider to solving these issues.

This one is going to be a somewhat controversial topic, and we definitely understand there’s a lot more to learn about the edition over the coming months - we would love to hear your opinions and comments on this one so please leave one if you can!
