Daily Yoga Stretches for Back Pain | Dr. Jon Saunders | Chiropractor Newmarket
Here are 4 daily yoga stretches to help with low back pain, stiffness, and sciatica (if sciatica is due to tight muscles). Practicing these movements/stretches daily for a couple of minutes will help you feel better and reduce low back pain and stiffness. Follow along with my wife and I showing you the best daily yoga stretches for low back pain.

If you have non-specific low back pain: do all 4.
If you have piriformis syndrome (tight piriformis muscle): do all 4.
If you have a lumbar disc bulge/herniation: only do #2 (cat-cow) and #3 (gentle sphinx)
If you have degenerative disc disease/spinal stenosis: only do #2 (cat-cow) and #4 (supine twist)
As always, perform these stretches gently and to your tolerance and please speak to your health care provider for your specific case to see which stretches are most appropriate for you.
