Today we're looking at Single vs Double optin...

'Which should I choose?'..

There's no one answer to this..it depends on your priorities, your niche and the particular list (topic).
If you are operating in the world of making money..this niche already has obstacles due to the nature of the emails, words etc and easily falling into spam filters. So this niche may require the use of a double optin more than other niches which are considered less spammy by ISP's (Internet service providers)

If you are trying to build a list quickly then a single optin would likely be your choice.

If you are more concerned about the QUALITY of the list you're building then a double optin would be the way to go.

If you go with a single optin just be more vigilant about keeping an eye out for those emails that do not open your email, as this can be a sign that it is a fake or dead email.
You need to make it a priority to preserve a good SENDER REPUTATION and to maintain a low BOUNCE rate so that the overall deliverability of your emails is not brought down.

If you do not keep on top of keeping a clean or good quality list this can affect all your lists in your business not just that one list. So it is important.

When using a Single optin telling the subscribers that you will be sending their lead magnet to that email address may encourage them to put in their best or good email address.

When using a Double optin another thing to consider is that if someone can't be bothered to open their email and double confirm to subscribe to your list are they really a motivated person that you want on your list?
Then again people get distracted or forget to do things, and that can cost you leads , subscribers and sales.

Ultimately this is a decision that only you can make.
