EDIT from Destiny: I'm posting this note here because this is getting more views than a video of mine normally gets. Whenever I'm talking outside of my area of expertise I am incredibly humble because I understand that I don't have the background to properly discuss whatever it is that's being discussed; I'll litter a conversation with disclaimers, ie: "I'm not really well versed in this," or "I don't really have the background to talk about this," which is true of almost any topic outside of music that I speak, unless I'm discuss a very specific paper or study that I've had time to read beforehand.
The reason I'm so aggressive in this discussion (and end up making stupid statements, ie: "what is the study of science/philosophy," rather than "what kinds of questions can you answer with these, is vs ought", etc...) is because Athene is literally presenting himself as a PhD level expert across multiple scientific disciplines (evolutionary biology, physics, neurobiology, psychology and philosophy) without having even an undergrad understanding of any of it. While I certainly don't have an in-depth understanding of any of these fields, I recognize that and try to attack his credibility for most of this video, which is why I come off as infinitely more aggressive than I do in any other video.
If you're genuinely interested in places to study this kind of stuff there are far better resources out there than any video I'll ever make. /r/philosophy is a decent starting point and you can explore more resources from there.
