2020’s spring collapse created pent-up demand, caused savings to accumulate, and opened up discretionary spending. Those factors came home to roost throughout much of the second-half of 2020, but they were all the more evident in the first-quarter of 2021. The result: huge Q1 sales figures from many of Canada’s best-selling vehicles.
Pickup truck sales? Very healthy. Compact SUVs, the biggest segment of all? Exploding. High-end luxury? Shooting through the roof.
