Hanging drywall isn't that bad, it's the cutting out of electrical outlets and other devices that can be tricky.
Often times electrical outlet covers won't cover up huge mistakes you make when cutting the drywall around outlets or switches. And this leads to drywall patches. That's why it's important to get a good tool to precisely cut drywall.
Today's lesson will show you how to make perfect cutouts using the RotoZip. Steve White from SRW Contracting is going to show you how to cut drywall for electrical boxes, ceiling bathroom fans, and recessed lights.
In a previous tutorial we show you how to hang drywall ceilings ([ Ссылка ]). This video continues that lesson
Before covering up any electrical device, get the center of it's location in the wall or ceiling. Write these dimensions on paper!!! You don't want to lose them.
Once the drywall is hung, you can plunge a drywall saw or RotoZip into the the center of the device. For electrical outlets, be careful not to plunge the saw or RotoZip too deeply because there are wires present.
Cut to the edge of the box then jump over that edge to find the outside edge location. Then you cut along this edge to create the perfect cutout. Using a RotoZip makes this easy as pie.
