On March 17, Singapore confirmed 23 new cases of COVID-19 infections -- the largest single-day jump to date. Of the new cases, 17 were imported. They include Singaporeans and nationals from Canada, India, the UK, Sweden, France and Indonesia. The country's total number of COVID-19 cases now stands at 266. Of the 152 patients still in hospital, 14 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit. Five more were discharged, which means a total of 114 have recovered.
