Star Rapid is using the Delcam PowerMill CADCAM program. One of the new features is VORTEX. This is a new style of roughing program that allows us to cut roughing time down by up to 75%.

How? Instead of taking a 3mm deep cut each time with a width of 66% of the cutter diameter, now we can go to full depth of up to 3 times cutter diameter, but only maybe 1.5mm width of cut.

This is an amazing advancement in CNC machining technology. It extends tool life by up to 300%.
