[ Ссылка ] This is a video that will answer the question: What is AdBlue?
AdBlue is an very pure solution of Diesel Exhaust Fluid, especially developed for engines running on diesel and equipped with a so-called SCR system (SCR being Selective Catalytic Reduction). By the way, you can read more about Selective Catalytic Reduction if you click the link below.

On that page you will also find graphic explanations of this technology.
Back to AdBlue. AdBlue consists of water and a substance called urea (also called carbamide). Urea is an organic compound and it is injected into exhaust gas to reduce the very harmful NOx emissions of the diesel engines. AdBlue is used to meet the Euro5 and Euro6 emission standards. These emission standards are set to define the limits for exhaust emissions of new vehicles sold in EU member states (in other words, set by politicians and thus to be complied with).
What does AdBlue do?
As already mentioned, AdBlue reduces NOx (Nitrogen Oxide) emissions because it is injected into the exhaust emissions of an engine running on diesel. In other words, it is good for our environment. It makes sure the NOx is transformed into harmless products like nitrogen and water vapor.
In the video you can see how the exact process works in your diesel engine and your exhaust system. Like this you get a better picture of what is actually happening in your car or other diesel driven machines like tractors, excavators, etc.
