The Honda city has defined the sedan for most of us here in India. Here are three things to know about it.
First, the legacy. The current City is the fifth generation City to be sold in India. In terms of size it's bigger than the Honda Amaze but smaller than the Skoda Octavia. In terms of price, it is comparable with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara or Hyundai Creta. But its direct rivals are the Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna or the Volkswagen Virtus.
Second, it's more upmarket. The City has always been reliable and refined. But the current generation feels more premium in terms of the experience inside the cabin and the suspension is a lot more comfortable too.
Third, it's still catching up too. The City is more premium and it is more appealing but it needs to do more. In terms of engine options, there's is just one petrol engine with just one automatic option or a manual but there is a strong hybrid on offer. But it is a bit expensive.
