This hit was recorded in the audience in a stagebox, so the voices come through very clear. Sutherland, Pavarotti and Milnes sang their roles in Rigoletto at the Met for the first time , it was the premiere performance in the June festival ! There was a lot of cheering and well deserved !!! These 3 singers have recorded the opera for Decca as well in a very fine recording , which is still available !
