I'm recovering from foot surgery. Still, I wanted to show you how to make this French-Canadian meat pie! It's scented to the nines with clove, cinnamon, and other "holiday" spices. Here's my Holiday Spice mixture:
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon rubbed (i.e., dried) sage
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground clove
Bake 375°F until crust well-browned -- about 1 hour. Let cool to room temperature before slicing.
