BREAKING NEWS:Former Delhi Prisons chief Sandeep Goel, who was transferred after an extortion claim by conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, has been suspended. The Union home affairs ministry issued the suspension order last night.

The action against Sandeep Goel was taken a month after he was transferred and asked to report to Delhi Police headquarters.

An inquiry panel constituted by the Delhi L-G VK Saxena found that AAP leader Satyendar Jain was given “special services” inside the Tihar Jail. Goel allegedly colluded with Jain and the inquiry panel recommended departmental proceedings against Goel.
